Designed and Deployed the Pronghorn HPC Cluster
GCU had research faculty and student teams doing computationally intensive work with no dedicated infrastructure to support it. Jobs were running on workstations, timelines were bottlenecked by hardware, and there was no path to scale without building something from the ground up.
A production HPC cluster designed, cabled, configured, and deployed by the Westwind founding team. The build included bare-metal node provisioning, high-speed interconnects, shared storage architecture, and a job scheduling layer capable of handling concurrent multi-user workloads. We wrote the operational documentation, established monitoring, and stayed on as the technical point of contact post-deployment.
