Colby currently works within the Network Operations Center (NOC) at Grand Canyon University, where he supports network operations, infrastructure monitoring, and technical troubleshooting across enterprise systems and campus technology environments. His experience in operational support environments has strengthened his understanding of networking systems, infrastructure reliability, incident response, and enterprise technology operations.
Earlier roles
Prior to his current role, Colby worked as a Technical Support Representative for Grand Canyon Education, where he provided technical support for students and assisted with resolving hardware, software, and account-related issues through the university help center until April 2026.
Live production and field work
In addition to his IT experience, Colby has worked with Dreamcast Media Group as a Switcher and AV technician, managing live production operations, switching camera feeds, configuring on-screen graphics, and troubleshooting live technical issues during broadcasts and events. He has also supported networking setup operations across multiple sites while working in operational field environments, gaining hands-on experience with infrastructure deployment, networking hardware, and technical coordination.

Colby’s technical expertise includes computer networking, Active Directory, Windows and macOS environments, hardware troubleshooting, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace platforms, and basic SQL database administration. His strengths are centered around network support, infrastructure troubleshooting, connectivity solutions, and maintaining reliable operational systems for both end users and business environments.
